Receive advice and treatment for a range of common ailments without making a GP appointment. Our pharmacists are available to have a consultation with you before advising you on how to treat your condition.
Should your illness not be covered by CAS, Avicenna pharmacists will still provide you with advice.

Who is this service for?
If you live in Wales and are registered with a GP practice, you can use this service. This service assists children and adults who have minor illness by providing treatment and expert advice.
For anyone who is staying in Wales for at least 24 hours after visiting the pharmacist also has access to this service.

Acne, Allergic rhinitis, Athlete’s foot, Back pain (lower), Chickenpox, Cold sores, Colic, Conjunctivitis, Constipation, Diarrhoea, Dry eye, Dry skin, Dyspepsia, Haemorrhoids, Head lice, Ingrown toenail, Mouth ulcers, Nappy rash, Oral thrush, Ringworm and intertrigo, Scabies, teething, Threadworms, Vaginal Thrush, Warts and verrucas.

How does it work?
Visit your local Avicenna Pharmacy. You may need to show some form of identification before utilising the service.
The pharmacist will check your details against the NHS Wales Welsh Demographic service to confirm registration.
Your consultation will be with an Avicenna pharmacist and take place within a confidential area within our pharmacy.
After your consultation, your pharmacist will advise if your symptoms require medication. If so, they will be able to give your prescription free of charge under CAS. You will need to be registered first.
